The Terrible Twos ?

Its been a while since the blog was updated and things have certainly come a long ways since then. To keep everything short and simple. Mace is turning 2 next month. Its hard to believe that a small miracle has now become such a HUGE part of every single thing we do. He has defiantly taken over as the leader in this place. Just in case you were wondering here is a recent photo.

This is the face that totally changed my life. I look forward to everyday we get to spend with him.

5 months and counting

Well I have been very lax about keeping the blog up and figured now would be just as good a time than any to update and bring everything up to speed. Matthew is now up to 15 lbs and growing more and more every day. We are both back to work full time and working on moving into Hilarys mothers house. Our final push is Friday May 27 - May 30.
I know some of you have the pleasure of facebook but there are several who do not so I thought we could share some of the pictures over the past few months that really stand out. In no certain order here we go.......

This photo is from Mothers Day.
Memaw and Mace at Waffle House on May 14th

Mace's first time trying something other than milk. The doctor told us to get him hooked on vegtables and then we would have it licked. Well it appears carrotts arent his first choice.
This was the delivery of the first round of carrotts, as you can tell from the picture they werent liked.
Our first Easter at Jimmy & Lynns house.
                                                                   Cooookeaaaayyyyyy
He loves his jumper about as much as his mom & dad.

This was from his first bath. Its kinda out of place but it had to be added.

Well I will do my best to try and keep the blog updated and everyone up to speed. No promises. Once we finally get moved and into some sort of routine im sure it will be a little bit easier. Please feel free to comment hope to see you all soon.

Introducing Matthew Ace Outen

A lot of people told us that the delivery could take several hours up to a couple of days. The time stamp on this photo was taken at 11:59 right before lunch. Hilary was only 5cm dilated. With in an hour I had time to shave and then it was baby time. The doctor came in to measure her and before we knew it there were 5 people in the room and we were pushing for a baby. Dr. Dark was waiting with the catchers mitt on while a nurse and myself were at the helm on both of her legs. He surprising only took about an hour to be born.

I would like to introduce you to our son Matthew Ace Outen.  This is the first photo  of Matthew in the delivery room. This photo was taken at 1:32 just one minute after he was born.

One of the nurses was very helpful on when to take pictures of Matthew and helped get the weight shot.

This photo was taken by Dr. Dark right before the doctors and nurses left the room. Thanks Dr. Dark.

By now everyone of you have seen our new baby boy. So just in case here are some stats. His full name is Matthew Ace Outen. He was born 6 lbs. 6.2 oz. and measuring 20.5 inches long. At his first doctors visit we found he had lost a pound which is normal. Between his first and second visit to the doctor he gained 5 oz. So we are headed in the right direction. Hopefully in the next installments of the blog you will see Matthew grow and be apart of some of the highlights going on in his life.

Only Hours Left

This past Friday Hilary and I went to her doctor for her last appointment before the baby. Hilary's blood pressure was still a little high but not enough to cause any alarms. The doctor examined Hilary and said that everything looked great and that she was 1.5 cm dilated and that with the condition of everything that she would recommend we go ahead and induce Hilary in the next few days. She set us up with the appointment office and we were given 12/19/10 at 9:00 to go into the hospital to get the process started. More than likely he should be born some time on 12/20/10. Now that we aren't measuring in days anymore we are reduced to measuring in hours until he gets here look for an update soon with pictures of baby boy Outen.

17 Days and Baby Names

We rapidly approaching D-day. Hilary is due in roughly 17 days give or take a day. The main problem with this is 1. The baby's room is a wreck. 2. We have no idea what we are doing. 3. We still have no name.
The name game has become quite a task. I can honestly say that we have no shortage of suggestions. We have had some very good suggestions to some really odd ones. We have a couple we are going to take to the hospital, look at him and go from there. If anyone is interested and didn't know she will be delivering at Cobb General in Austell. We also go later today to the last sonogram to find out which position the baby is turned and if he is in breach or not. So please say a prayer for us if you can around 11:00 today, it sure couldn't hurt. Until next time....Thank you for all your love, support and prayers it hasn't gone unnoticed.

November

Well it is a new month and its time for the baby. We are well into the last days before Baby Outen gets here. This is going to be an emotional month of ups and downs. The room isnt ready yet and we have no idea what we are getting into but we have stuff. The baby shower went over well we saw alot of family we havent seen in a while and some family we've seen alot. There are still a few things we still need to get for the baby but not much. We would like to thank everyone for all the gifts for making our lives easier and for all the thoughts and prayers.
The name delima also has began its final decent. We circled the runway until we are running out of gas and its time to land this big ol' bird and name the baby. There arent many choices yet so put up your tray tables turn off all your electronics and lets get this thing on the ground go through the usual customs and get us a baby name.
